The production company that produced the Biopic Greytown Girl, also selects and trains talented young filmmakers in various provinces in South Africa. We take the time to mentor graduates as they enter the film industry post their training. East Coast Media / Movietech has so many success stories of graduated learners.  One that needs mention is of a young man called Zamo Mkhize. A strong, intelligent, proud young man of Zulu origin first entered our offices having ducked out of his 1st year anatomy class at Natal Medical school. In his selection interview we tried to encourage him to go back into Medicine, but his passion for film was overwhelming and we gave the opportunity. He underwent training and mentorship with East Coast Media / Movietech excelling and finding his passion in Sound.

Mr. Zamo Mkhize now a proud family man, with a highly successful career in Sound, travelling the world with one of the Global Reality Show Franchises. His success never stopped him from coming home to East Coast Media and working on the sound for Greytown Girl the movie as an HOD. Zamo also took the time to mentor a new set of East Coast Media’s young learners on set affording them invaluable experiences we had afforded him.
